The premeir "Urban Soul Music" group, Tower of Power, was in the studio recording on the Broadway Musical Hairspray. They were amazing!
The API Console Has Arrived!
Studio A recently installed an API 1608 analog console. Owner, Barry Gibbons, recalls how he felt the first time he listened to the console. "I couldn't believe my ears.... It felt like we had replaced our control room monitors. It was huge, wide and more open than we had ever anticipated. We had used API gear for years, so we knew it would be awesome, but we were still shocked at how beautiful everything sounded".
Platinum Goes Live!
We've added a ProTools HD3 Accel system to our list of equipment for live recording. The system also includes Grace mic preamps, a Shure wirelesss system and Apogee converters. Of coarse, our large supply of beautiful microphones are available to meet the most critical recording standards.
